Welcome to Bright House Therapy, LLC. My name is Virginia Sanchez, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with several years of experience working in LGBTQIA+, Grief & Loss, Bipolar, Trauma, ADHD, and Autism. I have worked in several different settings; supporting families involved with the Department of Children Services, assisting creating and following through with routines for adults with special needs, developed and ran LGBTQIA+ groups for parents of LGBTQIA+ youth, and provided support to Veterans through the Veteran Crisis Line.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California with a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over a decade and have spent the past eight years providing therapy to adolescents and adults. My work focuses on supporting clients through challenges related to self‐esteem, anxiety, family and peer relationships, body image, depression, academic and work stress, grief and loss, and anger management.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW) with over five years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges related to relationships, anxiety, stress, trauma, and depression. My background spans school settings, child and family services, and the medical field, allowing me to support clients across different life stages and experiences. I’ve worked with adolescents, emerging and middle-aged adults, older adults, and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and sexual identity backgrounds. Whether I’m helping a couple rebuild trust, guiding a parent and child through conflict, or supporting someone coping with loss, I aim to create a space that feels accepting, grounded, and safe.
My educational credentials include a bachelor and master degree in social work. A licensed psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience I have worked in numerous settings including hospitals, schools, courts, clinics and agencies. Nonjudgmental and empathic therapeutic approaches are used to provide support to you as you deal with a variety of social, emotional and life challenges. My areas of practice include depression, anxiety, trauma (such as grief, loss or career stress), and relationship issues. I help you with anger management, communication concerns, parenting challenges, and bereavement counseling to name a few.
Do you feel held back by experiences you can't seem to move on from? Do you know your goals, but struggle to find the path to get there? Are you looking for a space to better understand yourself, your past, and the person you want to be in the future?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and substance use. I am here to help you dive into understanding not only how to grow in the present, but also what pieces have come together to create the person you are today. We don't exist in a vacuum, therefore I take a holistic approach that works with the confluence of mental, social, and cultural factors surrounding each individual.
One of the most difficult parts of therapy is choosing to begin. Congratulations for making it this far. I would be overjoyed to walk alongside you as you continue on this journey of growth and self-love.
