Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but my goal is to create a safe, collaborative, and supportive space from our very first session—whether you come as an individual or as a couple.
My client-centered, trauma-informed approach means your stories, values, and goals shape the work we do together. I help teens, adults, and couples heal from past trauma, grief, addiction, navigate anxiety and depression, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
As a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish), I’m sensitive to the cultural and relational contexts that shape who you are and how you connect with others.
For clients who desire it, I can also integrate spiritual reflection into therapy, always honoring your level of comfort.
I have a passion for helping people release stress and trauma being stored in the body. I work with adults who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 18 years of experience in my work with adolescents, teens, adults, and families. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, stress management, parenting issues, and family dynamics. I understand that beginning therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, and calming space that promotes healing and personal growth.
I have three areas of specialty. 1) Dialectical behavior therapy for people with intense emotions and self-identity issues. 2) Effective treatment for anxiety and OCD. 3) ADHD treatment for adults involving tools and strategies.
Many of the adults I work with are navigating anxiety, burnout, overwhelm, or the feeling that they've spent years adapting and still don't feel like themselves. I specialize in ADHD and neurodivergence, and it’s work I care about deeply.
I believe real change happens when insight is paired with action.
I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. My undergraduate B.A and graduate M.A. training took place at Wheaton College. Following graduate school in the midwest, I moved to the west coast, where I attended the California School of Professional Psychology. Here, I earned a M.A in applied psychology and Psy. D. in clinical psychology with a dual emphasis in forensics and family therapy. My research consisted of working with high risk sexual offenders. Following my time on the west coast, I worked as a Staff Psychologist and Assistant Professor at a local university. In my free time, I train in combat arts and play guitar (try at least ;-).
Hi, I’m Amy — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 23 years of experience helping adults build confidence, manage anxiety, and find clarity in their next steps.
