Do you feel held back by experiences you can't seem to move on from? Do you know your goals, but struggle to find the path to get there? Are you looking for a space to better understand yourself, your past, and the person you want to be in the future?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and substance use. I am here to help you dive into understanding not only how to grow in the present, but also what pieces have come together to create the person you are today. We don't exist in a vacuum, therefore I take a holistic approach that works with the confluence of mental, social, and cultural factors surrounding each individual.
One of the most difficult parts of therapy is choosing to begin. Congratulations for making it this far. I would be overjoyed to walk alongside you as you continue on this journey of growth and self-love.
Welcome! I am a open-minded, caring, and energetic therapist with a background in treating a variety of mental health concerns. I have had my private practice for about 10 years. Prior to private practice, I was working in the substance abuse field and treated occurring disorders for 10 years. I love working with clients to identify and understand their strengths and how to use them to build a quality life with continued growth.
At Mindful Therapy Services we are dedicating to providing compassionate support during your journey. Our goal is to provide all clients with the highest quality of services. Everyone will receive an honest, professional and knowledgeable therapist. You can be assured that we are here to guide you through this difficult process.
One of my greatest assets is, I Recognize Un-Nurtured Pain. I have 17 years of experience as a clinical counselor. I deem myself an energetic, empathetic, resourceful, and compassionate counseling professional with proven ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I fully grasp the emotional and residual effects of how unresolved childhood issues, chemical substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and PTSD impact one’s daily life. Moreover, the low self-esteem, decreased self-worth, powerlessness, and hopelessness those issues incite.
My approach to therapy is one of mutual respect and collaboration. I help clients face challenges head on and develop strategies to make life more fulfilling. I believe in the power of a strong, therapeutic relationship and believe it is vital to making progress together. I have extensive experience working with LGBT folks, those who've experienced trauma, and those with depression and anxiety.
I'm Reagan, and I'm a therapist who uses creative approaches to help people overcome problems with mood, anxiety, trauma, and obsessive thinking. I empower my clients using exposure therapy. That means we don't just talk about things -- we also do things that help you feel better. That's useful for people who feel "stuck" and are struggling to make changes.
I focus on helping people overcome PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, dissociation, self-harming behavior, and BFRB like picking and pulling.
I'm especially helpful for people who feel cut off from their body or have trouble figuring out their feelings. Other people I often work with are people with ADHD and autism, LGBT+ people, college and grad students, people in burnout, healthcare workers, people with body image and size concerns, and geeks of all varieties.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who trained in Philadelphia and now lives in South Jersey. I'm into hiking, reading history, gardening, and art.
I graduated from Lehigh University with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. I provide individual psychotherapy sessions to adults (ages 24+) to address a range of issues. These include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues.
help patients find hope in adversity. I explore a patient's need for external validation and identify old, negative motivators used to inspire achievement-based goals. I teach self-care and self-regulating practices while modeling healthy attunement. Together, we explore conflict-avoidant behaviors and healthy dependency. Being a highly sensitive person is not a weakness but an empathic strength. I explore the guilt, shame, and fear that cause "analysis paralysis." I analyze unhealthy habits and teach clients to build trust and reconnect with a traumatic body that no longer trusts. You are the expert and I am your guide.
When I began seeing a therapist, I realized just how much I needed an outlet to process hardships in my life and to feel genuinely heard, and this is exactly what I want to provide to clients who come to see me. As I have advanced in my own self-discovery and identity exploration, I have become interested in helping others in the LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent (specifically autism and ADHD), and disability communities on their own journeys. I believe that having lived experience related to my specialties is a fundamental component to the care I can provide.
I believe that humans should ideally be unfolding and growing throughout their lifetime. This means embracing change, especially when life gets difficult and we feel stuck, dissatisfied, or overwhelmed. Change is a journey with ups and downs. Personally, I believe we all struggle with challenges at different times in our life and it's the courageous who seek help.
