Hi! My name is Lenaida "Lennie" Rodriguez. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I work with children ages 12+, teens, individual adults, couples and families. Some speciality areas are couples work, grief and loss, substance abuse, perinatal mental health. I am bilingual and have a deep passion for assisting in enhancing the lives of others and empowering them to identify their strengths to overcome their personal obstacles.
I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley and moved to San Antonio to pursue my education and identify other areas of self growth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in Psychology. I continued my education and obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, swimming, baking, and working on creative projects.
I’m an LPC based in San Antonio, Texas. I have a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in military families and culture. I’m also a Certified DBT Therapist and a member of the ACA.
I’ve worked in mental health since 2018, starting in a psychiatric hospital where I gained broad experience with a wide range of diagnoses and acute care needs.
That foundation, combined with my private practice work, has shaped a grounded, trauma-informed, and practical style to provide you with a therapy experience that is unique to your needs.
I work with adolescents (13 and up) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, and neurodivergence.
**Please email me at [email protected] if you have questions or want to schedule. I usually have a few appointments available each week.**
I strive to nurture healing and growth in a supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental space. I am a dedicated counselor with a heart for helping my clients manage the complexities of 21st century stress, navigate life transitions and relationship struggles, and heal from trauma. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, welcoming environment where my clients can utilize their strengths to explore their struggles and challenges and identify core issues that need resolution and healing.
I began my career in the mental health service community, first as a case manager and then as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2003. I began providing outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and adults who are facing anxiety, mood disorders, depression, relationship issues, trauma and grief. For me it has been a privilege to be able to do this kind of work.
I am genuine in my efforts and motivation to help others get their life back.
